We know that tagging becomes popular recently. Wordpress user can install plugin for tag cloud easily. But what about Blogger user? They are only few ways to add tag cloud. So this article may be useful, very sugested to do if you want to put tag cloud in a Blogger using labels. This post is about trying to simplfy its original creator. The creator is so briliant in creating this code. And here we go..

The code we'll use consists of three parts. Part #1 is the css (stylesheet) section, part #2 is the configurations section, and part #3 is the implemented widget code.

Get codes
First we need to get the codes in hand. So download these three parts of code in a zip file here or (Mirror here).

Paste CSS
Now go to your Blogger template edit html area, simply paste contents of [css-code.txt] into right before </b:skin> code (you need to locate it 1st).

Paste Config
Next open up [configurations.txt] and place the code inside it into your Blogger template. Where should I paste it? now locate
tag and paste the code right before that tag.

Paste Main code
This could be the main implementation code. Open up [implementation.txt] and copy the code. Bow you need to locate this long tag
<b:widget id='Label1' locked='false' title='Labels' type='Label'/>
And paste the code right after that code.

Main Rules
Please read this rule and conditions paragraph.

There needs to be at least ONE label with more than ONE entry or the scripts hit a bug - so have at least one label with more than one entry before starting

Here it is the working example from orioginal location.

Here we'll try to explain how to design cool favicon using Photoshop in easy way. This tutorial will be useful if you are considering to change Blogger default favicon with your own favicon picture. Actually you do not need to have skilled Photoshop technique, coz favicon is simple designed. Now lets go on with our tutorial. Hope you enjoy it.

New Doc
Open up your Photoshop (I use Photoshop CS2) and make a new document. Or simply hit Ctrl+N on keyboard. You can use the setting I'd defined below or you can customize it with your own settings. But just make sure to keep Width and Height aspect ratio the same. We need to have really square shape picture.

Photoshop new document

Making Favicon
It's time to draw your own favicon. You can choose any pictures, graphic, text, etc, that is reflecting your blog identity. You have to spice up a little bit. Below is an example of mine. I prefered to use available shapes stock from Photoshop. remember you can use your own image or text. But if you choose to use text, just make sure to write the initial text only from your blog name to keep favicon short and simple.

How did I get images such above? here it is the way and some settings I use. Just as an example for you to go on.

Shape from photoshop

And here it is the colour setting for foreground and background
setting I use.

Than I give these layer effects. You can do this by Blending option in layer option menu.

Saving a Pic
Do you finish yet? Okey now save your work. Select [File] menu than [Save for webpage] option. Below is the setting I use.

Convert 2 icon
Now you just get your basic favicon pic in .gif format (you can also save it in .jpg or .png). Now it is the time to convert it using some favicon generator engine. Have a nice day!!

Favicon is one thing a blogger must have. Adding favicon to a blog it's mean to give an identity to that blog. Blogger based blogs are basicaly using default Blogger logo. Using a favicon is also increasing blog branding opportunities. So here it is a short simple tutorial how to add a favicon to a Blogger based blog. We'll use common favicon generator out there, and it is free of course.

Make your own favicon using Photoshop or other image handling software. It is better to use your blog logo, but if you don't have one yet you may use your own photo. Especially for a personal blog it is better to use photograph image. You can lear more about how to design a favicon image for your blog here. If you already have one, now it is time to create a favicon in easy way.

Creating Favicon
I assumed that you already have your own favicon image in any formats (.jpg .gif .png). Now we want to generate that favicon image into a favicon format (.ico). It does not need to spend lot of time or even money. We'll use a free online favicon generator to tranform image to an icon. I'll try to picked up a free favicon generator from coz it is free. All we need to do there is only to upload our favicon image by clicking [Browse] button and locate your image. You can click [Favicon Go!] button directly to generate a favicon. But alternatively you can also give it animated scrolling text on it.

upload images favicon

Download Favicon
In just few seconds your image will be transformed into a favicon image. Now just click the [Download Favicon] button. After download progress is finish you can extract the zipped file and upload the .ico file to any hotlink file hosting or the .png file to a free image hosting. You can use either the .ico or .png file.

download download favicon

Get the Code
In the zipped file you can also find a .txt file contains codes you have to put it in your blogger template.

Get the code

The code is about like this:

You have to change the '' with your own url where the favicon is stored.

Paste it
Now paste the modified code above into your Blogger template right between
and
tag. The easiest way is to find the open
tag and paste it right below it. Than save template changes.
